(Founder and the mastermind behind VULVA STORIES) and also known under my business Too Fabulous Art & Crafts.
I think of myself as a textile artist with a conscious vibe.
When I decided to organise VULVA STORIES, I wanted to create a safe space. A platform where people could connect emotionally through art. What emerged, time and again, was something truly magical: an exhibition bringing together diverse artists, each sharing unique stories, all connected by one common thread... their vulvas.
VULVA STORIES evolved into a vibrant fusion of art, music, and words—a weaving together of joy, pain, power, humour, and the wild ride of womanhood and community. This electrifying celebration of raw energy is unapologetically real.
Together, we explored themes of menstruation, pleasure, power, birth, trauma, healing, and the ever-changing hormonal journey through life.
I'm also known for my provocative Vulva Felting Workshops and for a cheeky appearance on Ireland AM, where I shared my personal story of reclaiming my power after undergoing a hysterectomy during the pandemic and I was asked to explain the difference between a vulva and a vagina at 9am in the morning …in Ireland! WOW…
My work challenges taboos, reclaims the narrative of the female experience, and invites people to see the vulva beyond sexualisation. By opening up honest conversations about "stuff" that has too often been whispered about or ignored, I hope to normalise these conversations—and while we're at it, let's reclaim the word vulva, because that's what it's called. At its heart, my work is an invitation to make, to talk, to listen, and to remember that the vulva is not something to hide, but simply another part of being human.

Sinéad Giblin is my right arm & second in command with organising VULVA STORIES. I met her many moons ago (maybe 13yrs or more) around a table of crafters and we clicked immediately. Slowly & through time we became good mates! She is a very unique gal and always ready to be random with me and ...she can read my creative brain so well that organically she became my "right arm" in organising VULVA STORIES.
She is so talented in many ways, all the graphics, designs etc comes from her beautifully talented brain and she sends me the most entertaining voice messages or as we call them "waffles" ..I'm so grateful for her friendship and her immense and diverse talents....thank you for following my madness! Now here is what the legend has to say for herself:
Sinéad Giblin is a lifelong artist, combining and embracing any and all mediums. Creating pieces that come from quietly reflecting within herself and hopefully providing comfort, levity or entertainment to those that encounter it. Born and raised in Dublin, she has always kept her native tongue close to heart and firmly in her cheek.
Sonya Mulligan - What a great artist & pal she is and a natural powerhouse! I’ve known her for over a decade and when I was getting the first exhibition up and running I naturally reached out to her to tickle her interest and luckily she liked to be tickled and joined me!Back in the day she was the first market owner that ever allowed me to bring my fluffy vulvas on display. It gave us an opportunity to hang out and get to know each other better and I guess our friendship blossomed into a gorgeous open flower now! She played an amazing role on Chapter 1 and naturally she joined again for Chapter 2 with her beautifully coloured and conscious art. This is what she has to say about herself:
Sonya Mulligan is a painter, crafter, poet, director, and producer. She predominantly paints complimentary caricatures of women without eyes as a statement about women not being seen or recognized. She is the host of Pride Poets, a monthly poetry night held in Street 66. She is the director of the feature documentary Outitude: Irish lesbian community. She is the producer of Revolting Women, a rebel cabaret.

BIRDWOMAN - (Aka Kellie Marie Reynolds) Chapter 1 & 2
I'm fortunate enough to call Kellie my sis in law, our connection is a very long one as I have been with her gorgeous brother for over 30 years. She is super talented and rather random, which is the side I love the most about her! She has delivered the most entertaining improv sessions during our 2 chapters, she made us laugh so much but also left us thinking about the words we explored with the audience during her awesome performances….the pains and the pleasures of life! My fav is the Vulva disco & the clitterball which to this day we have no footage of….

Birdwoman (Aka Kellie Marie Reynolds) is a multidisciplinary artist from Dublin. She has spent the better part of 20 years trying to find ways to expand and express her creativity. She released her debut EP in 2007 and since then has released a follow up EP "Ghosts" in 2014. "A fine clatter of ideas and well worked lyrics" (Jim Carroll, Irish Times) And her extraordinary debut album "And Then The Day Came" in 2019. "A Cracking Album" (Wallis Bird). She won the title of Leinster Slam poetry champion in 2019 and began to experiment with improvisation off the back of this experience. She has been honing her improv chops in kitchens at parties and took to the stage in 2024 for her first improv gig "20 minutes of Deliberate Absurdity" as part of Scene and Heard Festival of new work at Smock Alley theatre in 2024
Creating songs in real time and in tandem with her audience is the free-ist version of Birdwoman that's ever lived. 2026 has been an exciting year for her as she puts the finishing touches on her new art poetry book and develops a brand new stage show.

SHELLY JEFFARES (Chapter 2)
I met Shelly potentially over a decade as well sitting around a table of crafters (it happens to be the same table where I met Sinéad). Since we met, I always wanted to get to know her a bit better and work together as she is such a talented textile artist. Her sewing is impeccable and her creativity bounces around the walls. If you are lucky to be in the same room and you like sewing well, she is contagious! This is what she has to say about herself:
Shelly transforms reclaimed fabrics and found materials into textiles that explore patterns of data and memory. Her work weaves personal experience with broader ecological and cultural narratives, celebrating repair, resilience, and the beauty in what is often discarded or overlooked.

IVY GARDEN (Chapter 1)
I love this young woman to bits..she is such a jack of all trades with endless talents to be shared. I randomly met her as I was looking for some dreadlocks maintenance and I stumbled into her at a workshop I was running. We immediately clicked and our friendship blossomed through the many occasions she had to use her magic hands on my hair but her talents stretch in so many directions. She joined us during the first chapter with the most gorgeous and intricate collection of 3 paintings expressing her story.

VANESSA CLARKE (Chapter 2)
A very old friend, from when we were very very young and living a “free spirited” life in London in our 20’s. As the theme was connection, naturally I reached out to her to re-connect via the medium of making art together. She is a scientist these days but still dab at art (has always done - never stopped being an artist at heart and sketching away). Her charcoal drawing blew everyone's mind off, so beautifully sketched and put together in a series of a mini collection that stood proud amongst us all. She slotted in with us all as she has always been working alongside our collective, bringing a freshness with her realistic drawings.

LAINEY CASTRO (Chapter 2)
I met Lainey a few years ago but we immediately bonded & connected through the music vibration of a dancefloor - raw magical energy! She brought her powerful female energy into our offering and created a unique selection of beautiful one off vulvas tattoo designs that were available for you to buy at the exhibition (still few designs available..) to be tattooed at a later date in her studio and she offers a fabulous sensorial experience (I talk from personal experience). "Hi, I'm Lainey Castro, a current energy weaving through this world, working as a tattoo and visual artist also passionate about art, nature and music.

ISABEL FERNANDES (Chapter 1)
I met her while working with Alternative Dublin a few years back and I loved her vibe so I feel we instantly clicked. I reached out to see if she was interested in coming onboard as she was moving away from Ireland at the same time the exhibition was taking place (no pressure at all there), however she said yes and worked on a fab collection of VULVAS. She rediscovered the beauty and magic of her own bodily cycles after years of disconnection. Her story is one of power and reclamation as a queer woman coming out and explores the deep love and respect she has cultivated for her own body while celebrating the power and beauty of women’s forms.

CHLOE DANGA (Chapter 1)
A gorgeous young lady and a rather talented art student from IDTSU. I didn't know her personally prior to exhibiting but her VULVA cosmic art was loved by many. Chloe paints beautiful starscapes as vulvas, reminding us of the energetic connections we all share. In her final year of college and entering a new stage of womanhood, Danga’s work reflected on the importance of self-care, connection with other women or vulva-owners, and her role in fostering these connections.
